The Spokesperson for the President of Georgia Manana Manjgaladze stressed her attention to two subjects besides Mikheil Saakashvili's visit to the United States - the ongoing vintage and the new initiative - declaring Kobuleti as a free tourism zone.

As the Spokesperson noted the vintage of 2010 is going on without any noise and agiotage. As she said the State continues to work traditionally in this direction: "Grapes, wine, peasant and vine-growing is not left beyond the attention of Georgian Government".

"The State tries and this remains to be one of the tasks set by the President - to support peasants and vine-makers highest possible. This implies the regulation of price and allocation of grapes on timely manner", she noted.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agriculture this year 87 tones of harvest is expected. Practically every factory that is in the property of the State is mobilized for the allocation of grape harvest. 45 percent of the harvest is already allocated. The President's initiative on declaring Kobuleti as a free tourism zone has already been followed by responses. "More than ten applications have been received at the Ministry of Economy of Adjara already. The interest is so high that the representatives of the Ministry have several meetings a day with the potential investors and businessmen aiming giving them detailed information. Several local companies operating in Adjara expressed their will in construction 28 buildings. Some foreign companies have applied as well. The Ministry of Economy of Adjara states that very soon the information will be available on their official website and all interested persons will have a chance to familiarize the Ministry with their proposals and projects", Manana Manjgaladze stated.
