The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili Met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb. The issues of discussion were the simplification of visa regime between Georgia and Europe and EU political support. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Alexander Stubb noted that he came to Georgia to bring one major message. "I am happy that you received me in more calm atmosphere than in 2008. I came to Georgia to bring one major message. I want to reiterate our full support on your way to Euro-Atlantic aspirations. This concerns the simplification of visa regime and EU associated membership. I think that the day will come soon when Georgia becomes the member of EU", Alexander Stubb noted.

Mikheil Saakashvili thanked Alexander Stubb for the support of his country during very important period of time. "You put great shares in the most difficult and important moment for us. Georgia's aspirations in Euro-Atlantic structures are great. Your advices guide us and we believe in your political support. Regarding simplification the visa regime issue - I think travel to EU should be available to everyone. I know your position on this issue, I know how you are helping us. I want to express the gratitude on behalf of our Government to you", Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
