The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslav Sikorsky arrived to Georgia today. The President of Georgia hosted him in Batumi. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. Mikheil Saakashvili and Radoslav Sikorsky spoke about the relations and cooperation between two countries.

"Mr. Sikorsky is a young man, but he is an old friend of Georgia. He is not only an important political figure in Europe, but at the same time he is a very good advisor. We always share our considerations on important issues. We have reached an agreement on EU associated membership. At the same time cooperation with US is significantly developing. In Georgia's foreign policy Poland plays one of the major role. It is great that Polish businessmen got interested in Georgian business environment. This is why I think that this visit is very important. Poland is the only country in Europe where economy is currently developing. Georgia is the only state in region that reached a real success in respect of economy. We want that not only Polish high officials visit Georgia, but the tourists as well", MikheilSaakashvili stated.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland made a comment as well and noted that tide cooperation with Georgia will continue in future as well.

"I am sure that Polish tourists will like this environment very much and will come to Georgia on holidays. Everyone in Poland noticed those difficulties that you had to overcome in order to attend the funeral of Lekh and Maria Kachinski. During the huge tragedy we accepted this as an expression of friendship and honor. I want to state that we have the best relations with Georgia. Poland supports Georgia's territorial integrity and EU observing mission. I am glad that the agreement of EU associated membership was signed. We are the only country that supports visa liberalization process in Georgia", the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland noted.

Before meeting the President of Georgia Radoslav Sikorsky walked through Batumi streets. Before that he met his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland met with the representatives of opposition as well.
