The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France released a special statement on the official visit of the President of Georgia in France.
"This visit gives us one more chance to reaffirm our support to Georgia and strengthen French-Georgian relations that envisages several different directions - issue of internal security, 172 Georgian military servicemen serving on the French dislocation territory, signing declarations on the long-term relations within the region", is pointed out in the statement. It is underlined in the document that during the meetings held in Paris an issue of 2008 August war was discussed as well. "France supports the continuation of Geneva Talks. Once again we reaffirm our support to Georgia's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity".
