The spokesperson for the President of Georgia Manana Manjgaladze informed journalists about the President's position on the incident that took place in "Kavkasia" TV company. She noted that Mikheil Saakashvili estimates the fact as an attack on journalists and he stated that such attacks and any expression of extremism are unacceptable.

"Yesterday the President tasked the law enforcement entities to investigate all the details, to reveal and punish those people, who participated in the attack on journalists and violence in TV Company "Kavkasia".

"Any type of violence against TV companies, journalists and people with different opinions will be eradicated.

Every citizen of Georgia is equal before Georgian Constitution. Hatred, violence, intolerance and extremism is categorically unacceptable. The President condemns all sorts of attacks and violence and the government will eradicate any violence. Real democracy can exist only in the conditions of respect of law", the Spokesperson pointed out.
