On Tuesday evening, 3 May 2005 at 7:00 PM (Georgia Daylight Time, GMT + 4), the President of Georgia will address the people of Georgia concerning the significance of the visit of the President of the United States of America to Georgia on Monday and Tuesday, 9-10 May 2005.
President Saakashvili will talk about the great importance of the visit that emphasizes U.S. support for the ongoing democratic reforms in Georgia and the recognition by the United States of Georgia's efforts to achieve peaceful resolution of conflicts and differences.
As part of this event, President Saakashvili will also answer questions of Georgian students in a free and open session following the event. Students are coming to the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, from Georgia's many regions especially for the event.
The event will be conducted in the Georgian language with simultaneous translation into English made available to international media. Audio of the entire event (address and questions and answers) in Georgian language and the simultaneous English will BOTH be on the satellite transmission.
The event begins at 19:00 hours Georgia Daylight time (15:00 GMT) and will last approximately one hour.
In Georgia: The entire event will be televised live to all of Georgia by Georgian television companies.
International: The live telecast will also be available to international news organizations and transmitted live via satellite by the Georgia U.S. Visit Host Television Pool.
