President Saakashvili meets with the festival “Chveneburebi” participants

Today President Mikheil Saakashvili met with the participants of the festival "Chveneburebi" (a festival for bringing together the Georgians all over the world) held in Georgia on October 1-7. 
The President in his address talked about those Georgians who are now leaving abroad stressing that the reason the Georgia government made a decision to grant dual citizenship was to return those Georgians who are leaving abroad to Georgia. 

The President highlighted the ongoing events in Georgia stressing that the situation in Georgia is becoming better and better. "We are an ancient nation, but we have never had a modern state. 

Now we are doing everything to create exactly this type of state," President Saakashvili said. 

The Georgian President also discussed the issue of territorial integrity of Georgia stressing that the conflicts must be resolved only by peaceful means. 

"Georgia is one of the most unique countries in the world not only for its beauty but for its interesting culture . . . We should be proud of being Georgians," President Saakashvili said.
