President Mikheil Saakasvili visited Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region in western Georgia on November 16. The President started his trip from Khobi where he visited youth office of the United National Movement and opened a new park and a wrestling field in the town center.
From Khobi the President went to Tsalenjikha to attend an opening ceremony of Zugdidi-Tsalejikha-Chkhorotsku newly constructed highway where the rally were organized under his initiative. "I am sure that this road will definitely bring all of us to Abkhazia. Restoring Georgia's territorial integrity is the main goal of my life as it is for all of us," the President said.
Recalling his earlier promises made to the local residents before the Rose Revolution, Mikheil Saakashvili said that construction of roads and schools in the region will continue.
President Saakashvili called on people to start new businesses and promised proper electricity supply for their activities. "For developing businesses we need roads, electricity and education and all these will reach the highest level in Samegrelo," the President said.
