President Saakashvili opens military base in Senaki

Today President Mikheil Saakashvili opened a new military base of infantry's second brigade in Senaki. The base can accommodate 3000 servicemen and has all the conditions for living and training. 
Addressing the servicemen Mikheil Saakashvili stated that Georgia's defense is developing as well as the other spheres, and underlined that the base was constructed in a record-breaking speed. "For the first time in [Georgia's] history we are opening a modern military base in Samegrelo. Till now most of the bases were placed in Eastern Georgia and only minor part in Kutaisi. This base will be the first to fully correspond to NATO standards by level of training and equipment, the conditions for soldiers here are the same as at any NATO military base." 

Same day Mikheil Saakashvili attended the special training operation performed by the second brigade infantry.
