Today President Mikheil Saakashvili and the Defence Minister Irakli Okruashvili visited Senaki, Samegrelo region, to see ongoing works on the territory of a newly-built base. The Senaki base, which the Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili solemnly opened on April 30, has been built in accordance with the NATO standards.
"I believe that the Georgia's security is in the hands of real courageous men. I don't want to go back. There is not a similar base in the whole post-Soviet space. I am very excited about it," President Saakashvili said.
