According to the resolution of the President of Georgia Michael Saakshvili, the Culture Union and the Culture Fund of the President of Georgia has been established, which will finance cultural actions, international and local festivals in the scales of whole Georgia. The Culture Union of the Presdinet of Georgia will define the culture of the country and initiatives of the President of Georgia in this sphere. Avtandil Varsimashvili was appointed to the position of the Secretary of the Culture Union, also Anzor Erchomaishvili, David Lortkipanidze, Vakhtang Kakhidze and Giorgi Margvelashvili are members of the Union.
