Within the framework of an official visit to Georgia by Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Ilves and his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili visited Batumi, where they unveiled a commemorative plaque marking the location of the Estonian consulate in Georgia in 1920-21.
