The President of Georgia visited the construction of St David the Builder Cathedral

Mikheil Saakashvili visited the construction of St David the Builder in Bartskhana district and spoke about the ongoing work with the Archbishop Dimitry. The President visited one of the newly reconstructed kindergartens near Batumi and expressed his interest in the conditions there.

Before leaving Batumi the President of Georgia took a walk in Batumi and spoke with the elderly people in Batumi chess club. Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about the importance of the Election Day and noted that elections must be held in a peaceful, calm and organized way.

Later Mikheil Saakashvili went to the automobile factory district where he attended the opening ceremony of St Dosideo's church. The Archbishop Kalistrate handed the President a gift - the icon of St Dosideos, and blessed the new church.
