The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili went to Genmukhuri. Ganmukhuri beach hosts guests even from Russia. They have security and comfortable conditions in a new tourists zone. Mikheil Saakashvili visited sand fields, which are specifically designed for beach volleyball and soccer. Mikheil Saakashvili tasked Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti governor to enhance security measures in region.

"Russians demonstrated tanks so many times in Abkhazia, that the tourist season was spoiled there. Thousands of people gathered on Ganmukhuri beach today. Nothing is dangerous here - all measures are taken for their fundamental security", noted the President of Georgia.

Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about Abkhazian resorts as well.

"We will definitely develop resorts in Abkhazia, but here one of the most beautiful must be built. We are already holding negotiations with investors and this is only the beginning. We arranged a camp here first, then we will develop the municipality beach and infrastructure, we will open cafs and bars, install lights. On the way from Zugdidi to Ganmukhuri aqua parks will be built, hotels are already being built in Zugdidi, but we will ask the investors to build a very big hotel complex in this part of Abkhazia, in Ganmukhuri. I have seen few such beautiful places in the world', - stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
