The President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili made first comments about constitutional changes initiated by him at the opening of the new hotel complex in Bakuriani.

According to the statement made by Mikheil Saaksashvili, it is becoming difficult for the President to dismiss the members of the Parliament. As he said, this model works well for many of the European countries.

"It is becoming easier for the Parliament to dismiss the government, and it is becoming more difficult for the President to dismiss the Parliament.

This means that we are giving more control to this institution. We are obligating all the co-workers of the ministries to be accountable to the Parliament and Georgian people.

Our mission is to step-by-step transition to a classic, European constitutional model. We will find the model that will fit Georgian understanding the best, where Georgian people will be main masters of Georgia.

People should have the ability to control us every day."- stated Mikheil Saakashvili.

After looking through "Mziani Veli," the President thanked all those businessmen that did not stop working during the August events.

"Six million was invested into this hotel, which means that several hundred people were working on building this, therefore several hundred families had income.

We repaired the roads and lit up Bakuriani.

Despite the war, we did not stop any work here. I would like to say to each businessman that in 2009 certain difficulties will exist in tourism, but in the winter of 2009 many foreign tourists will come."- announced the President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.
