The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili went to Senaki today, where he visited a newly opened laurel drying enterprise. The products produced in village Nosiri will be exported in Ukraine, Armenia and Baltic Countries. The enterprise was opened within the frame of the millennium program and100 thousand US dollars were spent on it. The enterprise procured more than 100 thousand hectares of land in order to build laurel plantations.
"The most optimistic people live in Senaki. These are people who hope in themselves first of all and then hope in others. These kinds of people will build future Georgia. It will be very good if more than 150-200 people would be employed in enterprises like this in every village. The aim of these credits and programs is exactly this. Everything was being destroyed until now, but now everything has changed. If people are inactive, the government only will not be able to do anything", Mikheil Saakashvili said during the dialogue with local employers.
55 people were employed in this enterprise, and by the realization of laurel in the plantations about 500 local farmers will get some income.
