The Presdient of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili made a comment regarding the issue of possible return of Georgian products to the Russian market. He said that Russia guessed that the embargo lost its sense and this is the merit of the Georgian people.

According to his statement Russian embargo showed Georgia that Georgian production must not depend on one country only and it should be widely presented to different countries around the world.

"When Russia introduced energy embargo I said that Georgia would stand firm by all means. Russia's aim was to leave the whole country without electricity, but we built our energy outlets and we have developed a lot in this direction. The same happened regarding economic embargo. If Russia agreed to return Georgian products to its market, it would not mean "Russia fell in love with Georgia". Russia loves Georgia like Lenin, or Shah Abbas. In fact, this embargo has lost any sense. The Georgian people have demonstrated to the entire world, that we can firmly stand on our feet; the experience has showed that we should not depend solely on a single market and we are doing it successfully", stated Mikheil Saakashvili.

The President of Georgia made a comment regarding the information that spread through Russian media that a terrorist attack is planned against him.

"After the Prime Minister of Russia got interested in different parts of my body, my friends suggested me to armor these parts, in case I met Putin. Here they are not talking particularly about me - they are talking about the Georgian people in general. We are a free nation and they will not be able to kill this nation", Mikheil Saakashvili stated.
