The President of Georgia visited Sairme and personally familiarized himself with renovated infrastructural projects. Mikheil Saakashvili inspected the administered works on site and spoke to the tourists visiting Sarime about the importance of developing tourism and employment prospects.

“It is planned to create a unified tourist route which will unify Javakheti, Imereti, and Racha resorts. A common resort system of Akhaltsikhe, Abastumani, Tskaltubo, Sairme, Shaori, and Utsera will be created.

Additionally, by my order, the architect of the Rabat Castle has started working on the rehabilitation project of the Gori Castle, which means that very soon Shida Kartli will have one more tourist spot” stated the President of Georgia.

According to the Head of State, development of tourist zones will contribute to increasing the number of tourists, creating additional jobs, and bettering financial conditions of the local population.

5 million GEL has been allocated from the national budget in order to rehabilitate the Sairme Resort.
